If so, you should definitely think about checking out Conversio Virium. Conversio Virium is Columbia’s BDSM awareness club. Members meet every Monday night to get to know each other and share their common fetishes and kinks. I went to their toy night and learned that I am not the only kinky freak on campus.

In fact, their show-and-tell toy night featured all sorts of interesting things, from paddles, floggers, slappers, single-tail whips, clamps, and knives; to corsets, boots, velvet, and leather; to suspension bondage, handcuffs, ropes, locks, and chains; and, of course, vibrators, dildos, and butt-plugs; there’s one club on campus that’s got it all: Masters, Mistresses, Slaves, Dominants, Sbmissives, Tops, Bottoms, and Switches. They’ve even got the token few giggling freshmen who leave in the middle. But, outside of that, the night was quite eventful, exciting, and fun.

Trust me, there’s nothing quite like the sound of leather hitting hard against skin to bring silence and appreciation to a room.

The evening was all about show-and-telling your favorite toys. Everyone got to hold them, use them, and feel them. "I respect people who try things on themselves first; it’s the sign of a good Top," said one of the long-time members. And all of those black and blues on their arms tomorrow as a result of it, those are the signs of a good bottom.

Conversio Virium is all about being safe, sane, and consensual. But, other than that, anything goes.
